X Games Aspen 2025

Taking place in Aspen, Colorado from 23-25 January 2025, X Games Aspen is set to unite the world’s best action sports athletes in a series of ski and snowboarding competitions. Athletes will take to the snow, pushing the boundaries of their abilities in the following disciplines: Big Air,  Knuckle Huck, Slopestyle, Street Style, and Superpipe.

In addition, the three-day competition will also feature musical performances from the likes of Daily Bread, Illenium, and Deadmau5.

Summer X Games 2025

When it comes to X Games, the excitement doesn’t end in Aspen. From 22-24 August 2025, over 100 action athletes – from skateboarders to BMX and Moto X riders – converge on Sacramento, California. Over three days, they’ll face off to claim a prize pool of over $1 million. What makes this year’s event extra special is it marks the 30th anniversary of the X Games.

“I grew up right outside of Sacramento, so this [location] really is a dream come true for me,” said five-time X Games BMX athlete Bryce Tryon.

“X Games has always been a huge part of my life, so I’m stoked to feel like I’m playing host to a competition that has given me so much over the years.” 

Nitro Circus 2025

Founded by Travis Pastrana, Nitro Circus is one of the most well-known and respected action sports collectives in the world. Since 2010, they’ve been one of the top thrill-seeking events by bringing extreme sports to the live stage, with various disciplines like BMX, freestyle motocross (FMX), and skateboarding.

World Surf League Championship Tour 2025

From January to September 2025, the world’s most elite surfers will travel around the globe to compete in the World Surf League Championship Tour. The tour kicks off in Hawaii and includes stops in the United Arab Emirates, Portugal, El Salvador, Australia, the United States (California), Brazil, South Africa, and French Polynesia before concluding in Fiji.

What makes this one of our top thrill-seeking events? According to the WSL CEO Ryan Crosby this year’s schedule has been, “designed to include more events and feature a variety of breaks.” Expect a great mix of obstacles from heavy-water barrels, to high-performance waves and pristine point breaks.

UCI Mountain Bike World Series 2025

Watch from the edge of your seat as the top international mountain bikers navigate steep terrain and obstacles around every corner. That’s the promise of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series 2025. Unfolding over seven months, the competition features 16 race weekends in 10 nations across the planet, including Brazil, Italy, France, and Canada.

The World Series showcases its athletes’ abilities in two formats: Endurance (Cross-country Olympic, XCO -, and Cross-country Short Track, XCC) and Gravity (Downhill, DHI and Enduro, EDR).

According to Chris Ball, Vice President of Cycling Events at Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe, the 2025 World Series is, “shaping up to be the best season yet.”

“Each round will take place at a venue that is at the pinnacle of mountain bike course design, guaranteeing exciting, adrenaline-fuelled racing from start to finish.”

FIA World Rally Championship

Since 1973, the World Rally Championship (WRC) is the second-oldest competition series in the history of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). For 10 months, drivers will compete in 14 rounds of high-octane rallying, each one more exhilarating than the last. If you’ve watched one minute of rally you know why it’s one of the top thrill-seeking events in the world.

Teams will travel worldwide in countries such as Monaco, Finland, and Saudi Arabia. At each stop, the drivers contend with various terrain types, from ice and snow-covered forests to gravel-ridden mountain ranges.

Formula 1 2025 Season

No list of top thrill-seeking events would be complete without mention of Formula 1. From March to December 2025, F1 boasts the most elite racecar drivers and construction teams in the world. All competing for the World Drivers’ Championship and the World Constructors’ Championship. This year, the F1 season will kick off in Melbourne at the Australian Grand Prix.

The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) World Cups & Championships

The IFSC’s 2025 calendar is packed with an array of thrilling climbing events, including 12 World Cups and two Championships.

The World Cup season will begin in April in China and conclude in September in Slovenia. This year’s roster is made even more exciting by the addition of three new locations: Brazil, Poland, and Austria.

The World Championships run from July to September. The first event takes place in Finland and the second in South Korea.
